Prime Steer Supper Club in Kaukauna

Very long wait, we orders steak medium and it came rare. Send back and it was well done. Perch was pretty good. Waitress was rude.

Unfortunately our steak were really tough. Salad bar and drinks were great.

Food was good. But had a problem with debit. We checked our bank account and we were charged for our food and a pending charge for a bar tab. The only thing we had at the bar was 2 sodas but we now have a pending charge for 49.00. Doesnt make sense when our food/drinks was alrewdybtaken out of our account. The pending 49.00 inconveniences us with Bill's that's we have to.pay. we called and talked with Lisa and she said it only happens with debit cards. She didnt offer us a discount the next time we come in or anything for the inconvenience that she already knows about. Very poor customer service.

Love this place, great steaks, great fish & seafood, awesome salad bar, always friendly service bar and dining room.

The food was ok. My steak had zero flavor. The service was dismal. In addition every time someone enters or leaves the kitchen there a long bang from the door. The one good thing was the old fashioned.

I like steak, so I was pretty excited to try this place. We payed about $18 each for an 8oz steak, which isn't terrible.The reason for the three stars is the steak wasn't fantastic for the price. There are other places where I can get a steak for less that tastes better.The staff is very friendly and the establishment is very clean. I just find it to be a little overpriced for what you get. Granted...you do get the salad bar with dinner.

The food was decent and the old fashions were good but the girl at the register taking our payment was very rude!

Went on a Tues night and waited for over an hour to be seated for some reason (was very slow). Couldn't order their special of prime rib oscar med rare for some reason (was told med was the best they could do) ordered a different steak med rare and it came out well done. Chairs were rickety. They started taking the salad bar down (7:20) before we had our food and I was unable to get more of what we desired. Seafood platter was all over cooked and rubbery. I wonder if there was new ownership or management since last time I was there (about 9 months ago). With this all being said, the waitress was extremely nice and pleasant.

Very disappointed. The haddock was a deep fried brick of fish, the rib eye was done to order but was grainy and tough, no seasoning to speak of. Fresh items on the salad bar. Bartender was efficient and timely. Not interested in returning.

Delicious steaks, good salad bar and a well stocked bar. Coming here is a family tradition.

DELICIOUS! First time. Ordered the sirloin for two, medium rare. Was cooked perfect and it was huge! Old fashioned was very tasty also. Loved the classic style from start to finish. Our first stop out of the Wisconsin Supper Club book and plan to go back

Love the atmosphere here! It reminds me of my childhood. I also love the drinks they made including a perfect Wisconsin Old Fashioned.

Downhill from our last dinner there. Old fashioned tastes like sugar (lack of alcohol ) and steak and fish were so so. Salad bar was a flop..I expect better food for the price.

Excellent food, excellent service and great prices. What more could you want? I never 5 star anything but The Prime Steer is very close.

We came in close to opening time and were sat fairly quickly. Our server was wonderful - very sociable. Bar staff was a little less friendly, but nothing that would've ruined the experience. Our steak was cooked to perfection & salad bar was a hit. My favorite steak and fish spot! Would highly recommend!

I really hate to leave a less than five star review. Everyone was friendly. The setting is classic Wisconsin supper club. Things were both dated yet well kept. But it was really our food and drinks that were less than 5 stars. The old fashioned passed but was nothing memorable, and our $25 steaks were tough and somewhat grizzly/fatty. If you want a better explain, step one of prime rib prep is to remove the silver skin from the meat, just like a tenderloin. If they did skin this cut before prep, they did a terrible job of it. The salad bar was just right sized, not too fancy but the salad greens were not fresh. The salad greens should always be fresh. All of these items might have just been my chance, maybe i caught them on a bad night. Maybe your experience will be better. It probably deserves another chance!

We were here on a Saturday night. It was pretty busy therefore there was a 20 minute wait for a table. We sat at one of the tables in the bar and were given out menus and asked to order there. We had to go to the bar to get a drink. Once we were seated we all had the salad bar which was pretty good, although the salad was a little brown in spots. The fresh bread they brought to the table was awesome! We ordered the tenderloin for two and our steak was very good. The portions were very nice and the prices reasonable. We loved the mini cheesecakes that came as our dessert with our meal. Overall, very nice experience. We will be back!

Good food even tho the order got sent to the wrong person. Drink was perfect till i seen a fruit fly. Waited for our check for 20 minutes and they weren't busy at all only had 3 tables to tend

Food is good. They could invest in some new chairs in the dinning room, pretty rickety. Bar tenders weren't that great either.

We ate there for supper. The drinks were good and reasonable. The menu didn't look that good so my wife and I ordered the salad bar which didn't have a lot of salad items. You usually get soup on a salad bar but none here. We weren't even offered coffee or any drink so we didn't stick around too long. The owners just bought the restaurant recently so in their defense they are still learning so i am sure they will get better.

It was the best. Great food and drinks as always.

I love this spot! They serve marvelous meals, they have a nice menu, The cook in that place is a specialist, I enjoy a lot trying all their food. The food is always tasty, the attitude towards the customers is nice. I visit often this restaurant and I not even once was unhappy. I recommend it with no hesitation.

Our server brandi was great. Food was good also old fashions were good. Will definitely recommend to anybody

It was good. Steak was cooked well had good flavor. I enjoyed it, the salad bar was really good. The atmosphere is just wonderful, the drinks at the bar were made very well. It's a great little family owned place if you're looking for a good steak and fish combo I would recommend it!

Absolutely fantastic place. The food was as good, or better, than any other supper club. The service was better than any restaurant I have visited. Bar and table service were A+ without question. When I got to my motorcycle after dinner, the owner had wiped the seat down and left a towel because it had rained. I can't say enough about my positive experience!

Used to work there--it's a great place if not a little warm in the kitchen... The place has friendly staff and waiters, and it's just an overall nice place to be.

Good drinks at the right price, food was great, fish seemed to be a little "fishy" tasting but still good. I had the perch plate.

Too expensive i can get Tenderlion and shrimp some place else very good for the price they want just for a steak dinner

We just had the food to go, but it was great.

Last week was our first time we visited this magnificent restaurant. But It is definitely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the excellent service, with the exceptional cooking and booze and with the modest price. We will absolutely come back in a short time.

Online menu prices do not reflect the actual price. When brought to the attention of the owner.Comment was the meat prices went up. Rather than to have decent customer service and discussion of maybe splitting the difference owner never even came out.Instead have bartender do the walking and talking.F and L for me.(First and last)

The pistachio encrusted salmon was great, and my baby liked the pretzel.

Outstanding food, drinks and staff. If you like pan-fried walleye/pike, this is one of my top choices anywhere. My spouse had the 18 oz. Prime rib rare. We shared our portions. We usually have leftovers but not on Sat., 1/12/19. Generous salad bar - don't miss the pate. Grey goose gimlet, strained, was perfect. Thanks to Gary & Lisa. Ask for Brandy as your server. We'll be back soon.

I've heard from some people that this place was pretty good and so I decided to give it a try. When I first got there, it was about 730 or so and it was about an hour wait for a table which wasn't awful since there was a bar to have some drinks at beforehand. Our orders were taken and then the wait for the food was on. It didnt take very long considering the amount of food you get. The food was cooked perfectly, however, I did find that the Sirloin I got was very chewy. There was a lot of cartilage and tendon in it that did make some of it rather difficult to eat but it tasted great. I got asparagus with my meal and that I was less impressed with. It tasted strange but the steak was all I really cared about anyway.
